Every year, when we hit this month, we try and do something special.. we’ve had live shows, we’ve done big mass parties – well this year we have a lot in store for you – a special opener – a live show (which you can make sure you don’t miss the next one by heading to Twitch) – a new episode of DEM, and an episode.. ALL IN ONE!
So what do we talk about? Why the number 7 of course – and the many forms it takes. Our favorite 7’s, shaggy dog stories, Al Pacino, and a whole helluva lot more.
This is also our first official episode branded with our new Podcast Family – ACPN.
Last but not least, after the episode there is a list of thank you’s to so many of the people that have supported us the last few years, been guests, had us as guests, and have been a part of our journey. Thank you to each and every one of you.
So now – once again, for the 7th year – Ok, here we go!
If there is one sect of the movieverse we don’t touch on a lot – it is horror. That’s not because we don’t love horror.. Hatton has spent most of this quarantine binge watching Shudder – so we’re going to do our best to change that a little bit moving forward.
Enter Children of the Corn: Part 1, with an eventual desire to do all of the other parts. Is this classic horror movie worth a cob? We get into that and a whole lot more about things completely unrelated to Children and Corn….
And – after the episode is over, be sure to stick around as CHAPTER 4 of STORIES TO AMAZE starts right after that!
She’s lovely and bright with soft curls… that’s right, she’s a smalllll wonder – and we are looking back to a simpler stranger time: the late 80’s where a sitcom didn’t necessarily have to be funny to get multiple seasons.
So what happens when your every day common American family build their own human looking roboslave? Oh – the shenanigans they have… and by shenanigans, we mean the more we peel this onion, the darker it gets.
A couple of weeks ago, if you’ve been listening to the bumpers for the last two months – you would know we were given a slot on Livestream For The Cure. Four days of podcasts to donate money to The Cancer Research Institute.
During that hour Podcast Rob and Hatton discussed their ‘Hero vs Villain’ team – where each person got to add one monkey wrench…
We thought if you happened to have missed the stream, you shouldn’t miss the fun. So please, settle in and listen to the boys do good – and if you want to do good, you can head over to https://www.cancerresearch.org/ and make a donation.
Thanks to the Epic Film Guys for hosting this amazing event and we look forward to being a part of it again next year.
The Somethings are back with another Mystery of the Somethingverse – This time, they took it live on Twitch and discussed the tale of the Georgia Guidestones…
Have you ever heard of them? They’re one of the US’s greatest mysteries and other than some passing mentions on mystery shows, they are often not discussed or reported on. Giant slabs in the middle of a field with ‘rules’ in multiple languages, not to mention mathmatical and geological notations…
So settle in, the Somethings are getting Mysterious – and listen as they literally find new information while recording. Has this data been hidden from the world until now? LISTEN… LEARN!
Also – don’t stop listening after the episode ends, as the next Chapter in ‘STORIES TO AMAZE: D E M‘ starts right as the episode finishes up!
Everyone has taken their shots at Joe Exotic and his war against Carol Baskins, and now it’s our turn. The Somethings were live on Twitch and got down to brass tacks… who were the real heroes in the lion’s den? Who were the real monsters? Which one of us is implicated in the death of her husband?
There’s only one way to find out — and afterwards, don’t forget to take a listen afterwards to our newest episode of Stories To Amaze: DEM!
It’s the fifth week of the month – so you know what that means?
Do you? If you do, please … tell us…
For us, it meant that we went live on Twitch on St. Paddy’s Day and talked about how we’re dealing with the world we’re living in at the moment. From the shows we’re enjoying, the games we’re playing, and honestly how we’re keeping sane… it’s a Free For All on this week’s Something while we get ready for two weeks upcoming of great interviews!
Please note – there may be a sync issue at one point in the episode. It clears up later. I may have missed a spot – Hatton
Well you are about to get it. Hatton and PCR love a good mystery, especially one that has a range of theories… from the scientific to the plausibly strange to the outright bonkers.
Enter Mysteries of the SomethingVerse – where the boys each take a side and figure out precisely what the hell has gone on there… at the end, we have those hanging out in the chatroom decide who made the most plausible case.
For our first round, we are going after the mystical miasma that takes down ships with impunity… The Bermuda Triangle. Is it just some bad luck? Is it a Time Vortex? You make the call!
For the first time ever, this episode was recorded LIVE on Twitch – and you can be here for next great live adventure November 5th@ 9pm – simply go to twitch.tv/somethingsomethingcast and make sure to follow us so you don’t miss out.
There are some great stories out there connected to movies… from ghosts on the set to mishaps to unintentional Easter Eggs – when the final product comes out, we get to see 2 hours of edited and poured over movies… but what goes into them is months of work… some craziness is bound to occur.
Rob and Hatton sat down and talked about some of their favorite unintentional movie mysteries so big that they became urban legends.
