Well, they&#8217;ve recently had the release of their second album \u201cBomBARDed\u201d, a follow up to their debut album \u201cBardcore\u201d, and let me tell you.. this is an amazing and worthy follow up.<br><br>I grew up on the likes of \u201cWierd\u201d Al and Doctor Demento, so for me, when it comes to parody songs, the bar is rather high, and I&#8217;m pleased to say \u201cBomBARDed\u201d delivers. One of the key things for me that makes a great parody song is the mixing of the parody lyrics into the original lyrics, and nothing is a better example of this than \u201cPrincess Bride\u201d.  The way Bonnie and Xander tell the story of the story while mixing the parody lyrics to those of \u201cMr. Brightside\u201d feels not only flawless but natural.<br><br>Being a child of 80&#8217;s music, I also enjoyed the focus on music from that era.  Using song such as AC\/DC&#8217;s \u201cTNT\u201d and Styx&#8217;s \u201cCome Sail Away\u201d as the basis of  \u201cDnD\u201d and \u201cCome Fly Away\u201d respectively really brought me back.  \u201cBomBARDed\u201d also does an amazing job of touching a number of different (and overlapping) fandoms.  Browncoat?  Check (\u201cCome Fly Away\u201d).  Trekkie?  Done. (\u201cKlingon\u201d)  Gamer?  In to Comics? Want to clone dinosaurs?  Check (\u201cDnD\u201d), check (\u201cComics Fan\u201d) and check (\u201cWelcome to Jurassic Park\u201d).
