<b>Eat &#8216;Em and Smile<\/b>\u00a0&#8211; David Lee Roth.\u00a0 The year was 1986, and an impressionable PCR was just entering High School.\u00a0 Between\u00a0<i>Yankee Rose<\/i>\u00a0(with Steve Vai&#8217;s &#8216;talking guitar&#8217;, and the frequency of the video on MTV),<i>\u00a0Shy Boy, Tobacco Road<\/i>\u00a0and<i>\u00a0I&#8217;m Just a Gigolo<\/i>.. this album quickly became one of the soundtracks of my High School years.<\/p>\r\n<p>9 &#8211;\u00a0<b>Passion and Warfare<\/b>\u00a0&#8211; Steve Vai.\u00a0 A second shout out on this list to Steve Vai.\u00a0 Up until now, my musical interests had been rather&#8230; vanilla?\u00a0 Commercial?\u00a0 Mainstream?\u00a0 Whatever the word, 1990 hit and this album caught my eyes and ears.\u00a0<i>\u00a0Liberty, Erotic Nightmares, The Audience Is Listening<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0<i>The Animal\u00a0<\/i>spoke to &#8216;college Rob&#8217; in ways other primarily instrumental music hadn&#8217;t.<\/p>\r\n<p>8 &#8211; <b>Raising Hell<\/b>\u00a0&#8211; Run DMC.\u00a0 I remember recording the\u00a0<i>Raising Hell<\/i>\u00a0concert off WBLS when they aired it live (Fun Fact : Beastie Boys opened for them.\u00a0 More on that later).\u00a0 Full transparency, I love EVERY\u00a0<b>Run DMC\u00a0<\/b>album, but this is the one that started that love for me.<\/p>\r\n<p>7 &#8211; <b>Disney&#8217;s Robin Hood Album &#8211;\u00a0<\/b>Various.\u00a0 \u00a0I had this on vinyl.\u00a0 I listened to it endlessly.\u00a0 I can still quote 90% of the movie word for word in the accents.\u00a0 Fight me.<\/p>\r\n<p>6 &#8211; <b>License To Ill &#8211;\u00a0<\/b>Beastie Boys.\u00a0 \u00a0The &#8216;sampling&#8217; issue had been around for a while, but when\u00a0<b>License\u00a0<\/b>came out I was old enough to understand it.\u00a0 Sampling from Led Zeppelin for\u00a0<i>Rhymin&#8217; <b>BomBARDed<\/b>\u00a0&#8211; The Library Bards.\u00a0 The story of how we met Bonnie and Xander has been told before, but meeting them in person was one of the best things this show has ever done, and we were happy to support both of their albums, the newest of which is BomBARDed which can be found at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/librarybards.bandcamp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/librarybards.bandcamp.com\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1614657921236000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFSGVvBc-zemh_vEisXSIas4tWP-g\">https:\/\/librarybards.<wbr \/>bandcamp.com\/<\/a><\/p>\r\n<p>4 &#8211;\u00a0<b>Running With Scissors<\/b>\u00a0&#8211; &#8216;Weird Al&#8217; Yankovic.\u00a0 Much like\u00a0<b>Run DMC<\/b>, I love ALL of Al&#8217;s albums, but for my money, this is probably my favorite in no small part to seeing him live and watching him do\u00a0<i>The Saga Begins<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0<i>All About the Pentiums<\/i> live.\u00a0 The man is an unstoppable force when performing live and it remains one of my top concerts ever.<\/p>\r\n<p>3 &#8211; <b>Appetite For Destruction<\/b> &#8211; Guns n&#8217; Roses.\u00a0 Not a bad song on the entire album.\u00a0 My current workout jam.<\/p>\r\n<p>2 &#8211; <b>Un-Led-Ed<\/b>\u00a0&#8211; Dread Zeppelin.\u00a0 Take a reggae band that does Led Zeppelin covers and give it an Elvis impersonator as a lead singer and you have this bit of genius.\u00a0 First introduced to this band when it was background music at a party I was at, my brain kept saying &#8220;I know this song&#8230; but not&#8230; THIS.. song&#8230;&#8221;.\u00a0 Once I was able to focus, I was hooked.\u00a0 Seeing them live (with Mojo Nixon and the Toadliquors) was hilarious.<\/p>\r\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-2737 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.somethingcast.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/51tyWWMg-qL._SY355_.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"167\" height=\"167\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.somethingcast.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/51tyWWMg-qL._SY355_.jpg 355w, https:\/\/www.somethingcast.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/51tyWWMg-qL._SY355_-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.somethingcast.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/51tyWWMg-qL._SY355_-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.somethingcast.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/51tyWWMg-qL._SY355_-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 167px) 100vw, 167px\" \/>1 &#8211; <b>Sunshine On Leith<\/b>\u00a0&#8211; The Proclaimers.\u00a0 This album was unexpected.\u00a0 Originally purchased for one song and one song only (<i>I&#8217;m Gonna Be (500 Miles)<\/i>) the rest of this album I absolutely adored.\u00a0 From\u00a0<i>Cap In Hand, My Old Friend The Blues<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0<i>Sunshine On Leith\u00a0<\/i>showing off their soulful side, to\u00a0<i>Then I Met You<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0<i>Oh, Jean\u00a0<\/i>being more raucous and rambunctious, this album is still a go to for me on long road trips.<\/p>\r\n<p>Honorable Mentions. <br \/><b>Music From The Elder<\/b> &#8211; KISS.\u00a0 My favorite album from one of my favorite bands. <br \/><b>Sgt.
