Themed around the scary and horror-tastic, we are here with this month’s Review, and since we’re talking scary – who better to get than the scare-tacular friends of the Somethings,Megan and Katie of the Silver Screams (@Silver_Screams)
Which brings us to what we are reviewing… and we decided to dive into a oft-overlooked and forgotten movie from the late 90s, arguably the ‘before & after’ moment for Tim Burton and Johnny Depp – Sleepy Hollow
So lets dive into a horror mystery and find out who is the Headless Horseman, and whether this movie has held the test of time.

We got a message not so long ago from our good friend Big Kev, of a show you might remember, Big Kev’s Geek Stuff, now far flung years into the future with Geek Stuff: TNG (@GeekStuffTNG) – and a conversation about Solo broke out.
You see, Rob and I have mixed opinions on Solo… was it good? Was it good enough? Was it just nostalgic pablum?

Something In Review: Suckerpunch!
It was inevitable, wasn’t it?
Long ago when we started doing this show, we had this little running gag about attractive people being in the movie Suckerpunch – so now that we have been doing our movie parties on Discord, the time was right for us to find out what all these attractive people actually do!
So join us as we head into our dream within a dream (within a dance within a dream within a bus within a melodrama) and discuss the gun-firing, zombie-killing, samurai-slashing, scantily-clad, outlandishly over-hyphenated movie: Suckerpunch!
Is it good? Is it bad? Is it misunderstood? Well, it’s at least one of those things, and you can find out which right now!

Something In Review: The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T
Well – we now have a record for ‘The Oldest Movie’ that we have ever reviewed in The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T – which is a movie that was put together by noneother than Dr. Seuss… and it shows a couple of things:
- With a good name behind it, you can make anything!
- There’s a reason Seuss only did cartoon movies in his later years
A weird collection of acid trip fever dreams, pulls from other more famous movies, but a LOT of interesting stage and set design and one amazing song… Dr T is a thing we saw, and you should too.. just to say you did.
So join us and the Aquabats (No, they’re not on the show) as we talk Dr. T and what it all really means.

Something In Review: Children of the Corn
If there is one sect of the movieverse we don’t touch on a lot – it is horror. That’s not because we don’t love horror.. Hatton has spent most of this quarantine binge watching Shudder – so we’re going to do our best to change that a little bit moving forward.
Enter Children of the Corn: Part 1, with an eventual desire to do all of the other parts. Is this classic horror movie worth a cob? We get into that and a whole lot more about things completely unrelated to Children and Corn….
And – after the episode is over, be sure to stick around as CHAPTER 4 of STORIES TO AMAZE starts right after that!

If you are a Wars’y type, you likely have your opinion on whether Abrams & The Mouse nailed it, missed it, or middled it… but now you get to find out how much you disagree with two other guys on the internet!

No no no, not to THERE… to the world of Breaking Bad. We weren’t left with many questions at the end of Walt’s journey, but we did have one big one.
…what happened to Jesse?
Not only does El Camino fill that in – but a few gaps we never thought to ask.

In Review: Scrooged
Happy Holidays!
Sure, it’s early, but we’re taking next month off – so we gotta get it in somewhere.
And since everyone is getting themselves all stuff prepared, we decided to hit a a movie that had a strange beginning, but has found its place as a Christmas Traditional for weirdos… it is the scariest Christmas Carol ever put to film – SCROOGED! (I heard an old lady had a heart attack)
So join in the festivities as the Somethings discuss whether this was a well-received holiday tradition (like cranberries in a can) – or the kind of thing you tolerate just because it’s the holidays (like hugging the weird aunt that always smells like cat pee)
It’s time to be visited by three ghosts and two Somethings, so you best change your ways…. Scrooged!
