It’s time again for the Somethings to journey into the last of a series and see whether or not it holds up. This time, the boys have headed to the Grove – a place where foreigners show up to a small town and all sorts of strangeness goes on.
When the show ends, there are relationships asunder, big fights between monsters, and – well – really a lot of things one of the Somethings wasn’t too sure about.
So settle in – we hope you lychan this episode…
Also! Don’t go away, as the last episode of Stories To Amaze: D E M starts right after the episode ends!
So let’s get to … THE END: HEMLOCK GROVE
Ok, here we go!
Mysteries of the Somethingverse : Bigfoot
Tagged 2020, Creature Feature, Mysteries of the SomethingverseIt’s time to head back into the Somethingverse – the place where the mystical, the magical, the unbelievable, the quasi-believable, and the weird all converge on two know-it-all jackasses in New Jersey.
What is the topic this week? Why, none other than the biggest cryptid in America – the one that is so big he has an agent… how has the legacy of Bigfoot held the test of time on the internet? Is Sasquatchamania still running wild?
The only way to find out is to head out into the woods… put on your headphones, and dip your toe into the Somethingverse.

Something In Review: The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T
Tagged 2020, Movies, Something In ReviewWell – we now have a record for ‘The Oldest Movie’ that we have ever reviewed in The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T – which is a movie that was put together by noneother than Dr. Seuss… and it shows a couple of things:
- With a good name behind it, you can make anything!
- There’s a reason Seuss only did cartoon movies in his later years
A weird collection of acid trip fever dreams, pulls from other more famous movies, but a LOT of interesting stage and set design and one amazing song… Dr T is a thing we saw, and you should too.. just to say you did.
So join us and the Aquabats (No, they’re not on the show) as we talk Dr. T and what it all really means.
Ok, here we go!
Year 7 Anniversary
Tagged 2020, AnniversaryEvery year, when we hit this month, we try and do something special.. we’ve had live shows, we’ve done big mass parties – well this year we have a lot in store for you – a special opener – a live show (which you can make sure you don’t miss the next one by heading to Twitch) – a new episode of DEM, and an episode.. ALL IN ONE!
So what do we talk about? Why the number 7 of course – and the many forms it takes. Our favorite 7’s, shaggy dog stories, Al Pacino, and a whole helluva lot more.
This is also our first official episode branded with our new Podcast Family – ACPN.
Last but not least, after the episode there is a list of thank you’s to so many of the people that have supported us the last few years, been guests, had us as guests, and have been a part of our journey. Thank you to each and every one of you.
So now – once again, for the 7th year – Ok, here we go!
Something In Review: Children of the Corn
Tagged 2020, Horror, Movies, Something In ReviewIf there is one sect of the movieverse we don’t touch on a lot – it is horror. That’s not because we don’t love horror.. Hatton has spent most of this quarantine binge watching Shudder – so we’re going to do our best to change that a little bit moving forward.
Enter Children of the Corn: Part 1, with an eventual desire to do all of the other parts. Is this classic horror movie worth a cob? We get into that and a whole lot more about things completely unrelated to Children and Corn….
And – after the episode is over, be sure to stick around as CHAPTER 4 of STORIES TO AMAZE starts right after that!
Ok, here we go!
The End: Small Wonder
Tagged 2020, retro, The End, TVShe’s lovely and bright with soft curls… that’s right, she’s a smalllll wonder – and we are looking back to a simpler stranger time: the late 80’s where a sitcom didn’t necessarily have to be funny to get multiple seasons.
So what happens when your every day common American family build their own human looking roboslave? Oh – the shenanigans they have… and by shenanigans, we mean the more we peel this onion, the darker it gets.
Enjoy.
It’s time for The End: Small Wonder

Mysteries of the Somethingverse : Atlantis
Tagged 2020, Mysteries of the SomethingverseThe boys are descending into the deep with another venture into the abyss that is… Mystery of the Somethingverse
Was there ever an Island? (You know the one) If there was, where was it? Who lived there? Is there a giant gear that sends it to a different place? Aliens? …aliens.
We’re going to a land that’s better down where it’s wetter, naturally. So take a listen to ATLANTIS.

Livestream For The Cure – Nerd War!
Tagged 2020, Comic Book, Livestream For The Cure, Movies, VSA couple of weeks ago, if you’ve been listening to the bumpers for the last two months – you would know we were given a slot on Livestream For The Cure. Four days of podcasts to donate money to The Cancer Research Institute.
During that hour Podcast Rob and Hatton discussed their ‘Hero vs Villain’ team – where each person got to add one monkey wrench…
We thought if you happened to have missed the stream, you shouldn’t miss the fun. So please, settle in and listen to the boys do good – and if you want to do good, you can head over to https://www.cancerresearch.org/ and make a donation.
Thanks to the Epic Film Guys for hosting this amazing event and we look forward to being a part of it again next year.

#PodcastBlackout w/ Gordon Baker-Bone
Tagged 2020, guests, topical
With the state of things, it didn’t feel right or respectful to post Rob and I talking about our usual pop culture nonsense. Instead, we are taking part in #PodcastBlackout by talking less and listening more.
Joining us this week is stand-up comedian and New Jersey native, Gordon Baker-Bone talking about the murder of George Lloyd, racism past present and future, and what we can do to help today and tomorrow. You can find Gordon on Instagram and Twitter and you most definitely should.
The End – Scandal
Tagged 2020, The End, TVHave you checked out Livestream For The Cure yet? You should.
We’re back with another journey through all of the years of television that other people sat through, and review what’s left…. the End
This month we’re talking the politically over-the-top crazy DC Adventure that is Scandal. From backstabbing lawyers, assassinating attorneys, and Presidents in disgrace, this show upped the anti every season, and now it has landed in the Oval Office of the Somethings…
Was it good? Does it hold up? Only two men know for sure, and soon you will too.
