Episode 28 – Spin The Wheel: DragonLance!
Sometimes the Somethings aren’t the most prepared of all podcasts. I mean, there are some shows out there that do tons of research and preprep and all that.. well, it should be known by now that the boys sometimes are a little more ‘fly by the seat of their pants’ kinda guys.
So, this week we try something altogether new… the RANDOM WHEEL OF STUFF!
I know the title & picture kinda gives it away, but try and act surprised anyway, ok?
If there is something that brings us all together it’s our collective love of nerddom, and nothing speaks to the deep spine of that nerdyness then books about elves, warriors, barbarians, dwarves, mages, and kender going on a mission to save the world!

Our parents might have suggested that video games are a passing fad, but as most of us know, they have become the premier entertainment du jour for many, and the Somethings are no different. Over the years we have all collected unending amount of time wasting bleepblorp machines, so why not stroll down video gaming memory lane with the boys as they talk console games.
Now, you might remember we talked COIN-OPs.. and one day we’ll talk COMPUTER.. but this is all about 8 bit 16 bit 32 bit PUNCH! From NES to PS3, and everything in between.

Episode 26 – Robin Williams
So Hatton & Rob were damned if they did and damned if they didn’t. With a show ready to be recorded this week, they saw the sad news of the passing of comedy legend Robin Williams. So what are two moderately amusing podcasters to do? Wait a few weeks to do their tribute show and reopen the wound or do the show and fearfully ponder if they’ll get hit with the curse of ‘Too Soon’?
So they took their brand new logo, and threw caution to the wind, talking about their five favorite Robin movies. They also spoke in the 3rd person for some reason.

Episode 24 – The Marvel Movieverse, Pt. 1 [Live!]
A little over a year ago – James Hatton, creator of webcomics and hoster of thingies ran into a friend of his years of doing RennFests. They struck up conversations and Hatton remembered just how well they gelled and just how funny of a sumbich he was. He went and offered the chance of a lifetime to one Podcast Rob. A short time later, the SomethingSomethingCast was born.
Now where Hatton may have been the one that brought up the idea – since then, Rob has been a tour de force of making sure the show happens regularly, that creative ideas are always flowing – so Hatton may have started it up, but Rob has become the heart of it.
To celebrate this first year – the boys have gone to WildPigComics with an audience and a panel to discuss the Marvel Movie Universe! The Past, Present & Future

Episode 23 – Comic Characters
What do almost all comics have in common? Art? Sure. Words? I guess. A mixed media artform? YES, FINE, THEY ALL HAVE LOTS IN COMMON.
The answer we were ACTUALLY going for, was characters! Through the history of the form, there have been some memorable, and many less memorable ones – but on this episode of the SomethingCast, the boys are going to tell you their favorite characters of allllll tiiiiime. From Speedball to Crazy Quilt… ok, fine, maybe characters a little more famous than that.

The Somethings are coming to you straight from the borscht-belt with a selection of other people’s fine entertainment. You see, you don’t just become as funny as the Somethings are by not examining the craft of comedy. To be the geniuses that they know themselves to be (and then implicate you in the knowing since you keep listening) you have to know who is damn funny… so basically two jackasses with microphones are going to tell you who is better to listen to than they are. Aren’t they swell?

A time when people stood in front of screens and dropped crazy amounts of money to have lights and sounds blare into their face while they tried to get a plumber to find some dame in a castle. Crazy right? Thankfully we’ve evolved wayyyy past that.
