Some movies build a universe that expands the lore and mythos, that delves deep into other characters and builds new ways to love what you already loved.  They are treasures that feel like each moment is a part of a greater whole.

Some movies need to make rent so they sell themselves to whatever bidder happens to have a coupon for a McRib Value Meal.

Today, the Somethings are talking about the latter of those two – movies that went one strong, maybe two strong, but somewhere down the line you can find a copy of their 4th outting stuck to the bottom of the DVD Value Pack box at RiteAid.  Or they’re loved and we’re monsters and you’ll have to tweet us to tell us why.

To start us off on our anniversary (which, if you look up is the pod-ery anniversary….. get it?) we have joined forces with a friend of the show of years upon years – Cthulu’s Prodigy (@cthulhusprodigy) from Blacker than Black Times Infinity (@bthanbti)

What are we going to talk about – video games!  What games though? What about games that you think deserve another lease on life? I’m gobsmacked.

If ANYone told Hatton and I 9 years ago that we’d still be going in 9 years, and we’d have gotten to talk to some of our favorite creators/tv personalities because of this show, we’d have thought they were crazy.  Hell, we still do.

This show has meant a lot to us both over these past nine years.  It’s been a creative outlet, a social outlet, an emotional outlet…  I know personally it’s gotten me through some rough and dark times, but we.. and it… are still here.

We’ve met so many amazing people through this show.. people we otherwise would have never gotten to interact with, and that is something I will always cherish and be thankful for.  It has gotten us opportunities that otherwise wouldn’t have been possible.  It has gotten us friends that we otherwise never would have met…  all because 2 guys wanted to hear themselves talk.

For all those who’ve been on our show, Thank You.

For all those who’ve recently found us and said “Huh.. let’s see what this is all about”, Thank you.
